Prey For Peace Work Shirt

The Prey For Peace work shirt is a bold, unapologetic tribute to the overlooked history of people of color drafted into the Vietnam War. This garment confronts the legacy of the military industrial complex, turning military symbolism into a call for reflection and resistance.

On the front, “Prey For Peace” is printed over a list of major U.S. bombing campaigns in Vietnam, juxtaposed with a B-52 bomber reimagined as a distorted peace symbol—an emblem of contradiction. A quote echoes beneath: “You can bomb the world into pieces, but you can’t bomb it into peace.”

The back features a striking illustration of a woman of color in a red dress, riding a bomb painted with warhawk markings. Her devil’s tail and pitchfork heel nod to the seductive and destructive allure of war propaganda. Above her, the phrase "Brown Sugar" challenges perceptions of identity, desire, and power. The military patch-style “18th Air Defense” adds a final layer of critique and historical reference.
